QSL.now

Adding your contacts to eQSL

You need to log in for this. It is free, and so is QSL.now without it.

eQSL.cc is a website where hams exchange electronic QSL cards: you upload your log, the other station uploads theirs, and when the two match eQSL shows each of you the other's card. If you already keep an eQSL account, QSL.now can add the contacts from each upload to your eQSL OutBox in the same step that makes your cards, so you do not have to upload the log a second time.

What an eQSL confirmation is and is not

An eQSL confirmation counts on eQSL and for eQSL's own eAwards, and some clubs accept it for their awards. It does not count for the ARRL's DXCC or WAS. If you need ARRL credit, the What counts for awards page explains the two ways to get it from QSL.now: tick the LoTW box, or print the cards and post them.

Connecting your account

  1. Open Settings, then Integrations, and find the eQSL card.
  2. Type the username and password you use to log in at eQSL.cc. Your eQSL username is normally your callsign.
  3. Press Save login, then press Test. We ask eQSL when your account last uploaded a log, which proves the login works without adding anything. The card then says Working, or shows eQSL's own words when something is wrong.

After that, every time you make cards while signed in, we send the selected contacts of that upload to eQSL and keep eQSL's answer with the upload: how many were added, how many were already there, and any that eQSL turned down.

The QTH nickname

Some people keep more than one eQSL account under the same callsign, one for each place they operate from (a home station and a summer cabin, say). eQSL tells them apart by a QTH nickname, which you set under My Profile at eQSL.cc. If you have more than one account, type that nickname in the box on the eQSL card, or eQSL will not know which account to put your contacts in and will say "More than 1 match". If you have only one account, leave the box empty.

What we send and keep

For each contact we send the callsign, the date and time in UTC, the band, the mode, the frequency, the signal reports, the QSL message from your log, and your own callsign. Your eQSL username and password are stored encrypted, decrypted only for the moment of the upload, never shown back to you, and never written to our logs. Press Remove on the eQSL card and they are deleted at once.

If an upload is turned down

eQSL answers in plain words and we show them to you. A contact that is already in your OutBox comes back as a duplicate, which is not a problem. A mode or band eQSL does not list comes back as a warning for that one contact, and the rest go in. A wrong password stops the whole upload, so fix it on the eQSL card, press Test, and make the cards again.
